“I have no clue how to work with the ‘normcore’ in fashion – flat shoes, tracksuits, rucksacks, double denim, etc Any tips…? Should I just trash it and wait till next season? Anna”

Normcore has been widely described as dressing indistinguishably from everyone else. The rise and rise of the dominance of tech firms has further cemented this movement (or rather “anti movement”). I was told that when you work at google they say they don’t care what you wear, they care what you say. Perhaps this is the inverted snobbery at the heart of this philosophy. Continue reading

I go through fashion obsessions regularly and a close inspection of my wardrobe will reveal this, especially the multiples in which I buy some patterns/textures/designers. Something comes front and centre in my mind and then I’m off! Researching every possible permutation of that “thing”. Thankfully it hasn’t resulted in me wearing top to toe purple again since I was 12.
